On and off? What's what? Check it out here.
On the Leesh Productions is a for-profit company that focuses mainly on finished work. Overall, we produce work that is no longer in any sort of development stage. Therefore, these works tend to have a higher budget. While On the Leesh does produce theater, you can see by our project list that the majority of our focus tends to be on film. Also, through On the Leesh, we are at times hired to produce outside projects and benefits such as Our Time Theatre Company’s Annual Benefit. On the Leesh’s goal is to produce one major theatrical project a year and at least one full-length film project a year.
Off the Leesh Productions is a non-profit company that focuses on work that is still in a developmental stage. The stage of development can vary from an informal reading of a new play, to a fully produced new work. The budgetary demands of these pieces are often lower, and the end-goal for each of these productions can vary from allowing an author to hear their work out loud for the first time, to a more traditional “performance” goal. While Off the Leesh does not discriminate against film, its main focus is on new and sometimes experimental theater.
