In the Can

About

In the Can Productions proudly announces that we are in preproduction on our first feature film!

Our founder, Mr. A has located budding screenwriter, Phillipa Phillips and her epic and moving screenplay, "Love Is A Collard Green" (working title). As we move through the preproduction process Phillipa will be on hand in the office, working closely with the In the Can team as she gets her script ready for production! What is this epic and moving screenplay about, you ask? In Phillipa's words it's:
An epic and moving story about a man who shuns society to live on his own on an island and decides to grow collard greens under the hot hot sun."

WOW!

Let's introduce you to the In the Canners:

Cyrus Borg: That's me! I'm the website updater (when Bernice is not doing it) and Mr. A's right hand man! I run this ship of gold here in the heart of NYC. My background is in business. I was a part of the dotcom world with an old friend from college until life brought me into the intoxicating world of MOVIES and the business of show! So now, here I am, coming up in the world with the likes of Clooney, George; Damon, Matt; Zeta-Jones, Catherine and me. (*For legal reasons we're told we should make it clear that we have not met or had any contact with Clooney, George; Damon, Matt; Zeta-Jones, Catherine). A little about me: I believe a man should wear a suit whilst in the office.

Now here's a bit of information on my crew!

Bernice: (Office Manager) Began working with me while I founded the dotcom. She's my right hand and sometimes my left depending on if it's raining. She's organized, capable, and a hard worker.

Sally: (Director of Acquisisions) She would like me to make it clear that she is an actor. Sorry, actress. (She's standing over me right now...) She is also the head of acquisitions here at In the Can which means she reads scripts. If you're got an idea for a movie you want made - Sally will read it! She would also like me to make it clear that she is blonde, 5'5", and manages to be voluptuous while remaining thin. Note: Sally did not find "Love Is A Collard Green", Mr. A did.

Millie: (Production Designer) She's got great credits. Though we're not sure of the specifics as she hasn't spoken in 2 years as part of her latest "living art piece."

Jonathon: (Intern) What a fella! While being a very capable photocopier, Jonathon also happens to be very close distantly related to Mr. Steven Spielberg! He also enjoys Star Wars. A lot.

Then of course there is the amazing up-and-coming almost there writer: Ms. Phillipa Phillips! (Bio to follow...)

Summary

Sally: Director of Acquisitions – Sally is an actor. Sally would like to thank her creator, Stephanie from the MAC counter at Macy’s Herald Square. Her heroes are: Meryl Streep, Jessica Alba, the often under-rated Paris Hilton and herself.

Jonathon: Intern – This bio is currently being translated from Shyriiwook.

Millie: Resident Production Designer – “All things I do are in every woman. Every woman is Medea. Every woman is Jocasta. There comes a time when a woman is a mother to her husband. Clytemnestra is every woman when she kills.” – Martha Graham
